Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I was wondering if anyone has ever gone to a long-term facility for persistent suicidal thoughts/ideations? I think if I am going to recover, that is where I am going to need to go.

Do they exist in the U.S.?

Involuntary admission at some places in the US can be 6 months (I knew someone who was in for longer though). That being said, it depends on how mentally unwell they deem you. They won't just let you stay longer than the average 3 day baker act/5150/302/whatever they call it in your state unless you're a danger to yourself or others.
