I've failed partial a lot . Partial is difficult to get right and when you do chances are your body will correct itself .

is it possible to do full hanging from a door if you are "short" enough?
... no wait, that would still not count as "full", right?
like, what's the definition of full versus partial?
i obviously know if you dangle up high from a tree, that's a full hanging.

If your feet are not touching the ground it's full if they are then it's partial. You can do any form of hanging anywhere.... as long as it will hold your weight.

I always wonder with these questions. Are people referring to a method done correctly, that still failed? Or are you looking for the mistakes other people made?

Because with something like hanging, it has been used for centuries for executions etc (I think it's still used in Japan for official state executions), so if done completely correctly there should not be any realistic chance of failure. Gravity and your own body weight should guarantee that you succeed. Strong anchor point that you know for certain can more than hold your weight, same with the rope. And then timing and opportunity. Don't be found for at least 30 minutes at a bare minimum. I would imagine the chances of finding someone that did everything correct, and still failed, are exceedingly rare.
