How does your body stay leaning forward after you go unconscious?
If your anchor point is above your head, can you not just drop your weight straight down and put your legs out instead of leaning ?
I've read about leaning in a lot of posts about hanging but in any videos I've watched, I have not seen leaning done. I've always seen the person just lower themselves straight down.
I've posted about this before and have not been able to find anyone who can explain this. Can someone plz help 😞

Can it be done like my picture? Without leaning? Making sure your butt doesn't touch the ground?

The partial hanging megathread has a pic similar to yours in it's OP, so I'd assume it's possible. It might even work better against a door, when your unconscious body is thrashing around.

Do you know anything about the leaning question I asked about?

Yes you can. The problem is that SI can easily make you try to stand. If you tie your ankles and make sure your butt will not touch the floor, your chance of success is very high.

I'm not sure myself how it's supposed to work if you have to lean to apply pressure to your neck.
I'm sure the method in your pic would work much better.
I don't know about any cases or anything, but I doubt your body will stand up on it's own when you're unconscious.

My picture is with rope tied to doorknob and thrown over the top of the door to hang on opposite side. I should have made that more clear.
Even better!
So you don't need to lean first? You can just slide your back down the door?
Why do people mention leaning then? This is what I'm trying to understand.
When I think of leaning forward , I question how your body would stay that way when you go unconscious? You think you'd fall back? I always thought hanging was to be straight down from your anchor point.
Even the MegaThread says to lean forward. I DON'T GET IT 😩
