I'm planning to ctb by jumping off the balcony of a high room located in one of Egypt's 5-stars hotels. Unfortunately, I can't do this anytime soon because I don't have enough money to book a room in this expensive hotel and my parents refused to lend me some money.

I hope that this financial issue will be solved somehow.

Until then, I want to know more about this method.

What would I feel when I jump off, let's say, the 10th floor? Would I be in a state of severe panic? Will I loss my consciousness instantly when I hit the ground?

Funny enough, i only survived because i landed on a bed cushion in some sort of isolated beach (it was more of an dumpster beach where people/fishers leave trash, and its isolated in a way you have to climb down to go there) and because i was found on time, i landed on my back direclty and it wasnt a building due to the place i choose to jump off, and last time i checked i was told it was 30 meters.

Even so, the height was enough to leave me with one less organ and permenant spine damage from the impact, and i was a young teenager at the time of the incident, the fact i wasnt left off with more damage in my body was a miracle of itself since i was small and young, if things were any different at that time then i would be disabled or wouldnt have made it.
Ask @pyroxenic, he survived his jump, when he was younger.

I think people react differently to this scenario. Some people will panic, others won't. But as long as it's 10 floors or higher, yes there's a very high probability that you'll lose consciousness as soon as you it the ground. To be extra certain, look up skydiving techniques for a head first five. Tuck your arms in by your side and play your legs apart a bit. If you fall like that you should land on your head first if your angular momentum isn't too unfavourable

Im really sorry to hear about your situation, and i hope for you to get in a better situation soon for your own sake since this seems to be eating you from inside. You deserve better life position, but, for your well being i advice against it.

My own attempt was something of 10~ stories, but where you live and how your buildings are build 10~ stories might be taller or shorter compared to other places, anyways, since you want to use the balcony method, if the said suposedly hotel was surrounded by lets say, trees or anything that can slow your fall that can lower the chance of succeding.
But if you ever find yourself in this position where youre preparing to jump, if you were in the state of panic you wouldve probably backed off from the spot and wouldnt try again. I personally wasnt panicking but i was sitting there for a long while because preparing to jump is harder then you mightve think, because your SI is still trying to stop you no matter how calm you might feel.

And yes youll lose consciousness the moment you hit the ground, 10~ stories height and above is guaranteed for that but some people lose consciousness from even very small heights (falling from the ledder for example). How long youll actually be unconscious for is unclear, i lost my own consciousness but it could have been seconds, minutes, or maybe even 30 minutes before i woke up.

How to make your attempt more likely succeed depends on: where you jump, how you jump, where you land, the height, the speed, and how quickly youre found and brought to ER (you are not leaving the hospital without any long term damage unharmed thats for sure)

Why i say against for others and you to not go along with this method is... its just not worth it. Like many other methods unfortunerly.

But i hope your life condition and the situation youre in improve before you choose a method you might regret later. Take care and be well 💙

By "lose consciousness" did you mean you did not feel any pain whatsoever prior to blacking out from the impact? Did you perhaps felt the impact?

What was the moment of impact like? Thanks for your genuine reply in advanced.

When i say "lose conconsciousness" i mean i literally fainted the very moment i fell on the ground. The impact was strong enough to knock me out completely for a short while, even if i landed directly on a bed cushion and not on hard ground. Anything above 30 meters is guaranteed to knock you out (if you survive). But like i said earlier any height can make you loose conconsciousness depending on how you fall.

But i wasnt in any pain prior to landing, nor did i 'feel' the impact. Though, the exact moment i landed my vision turned white and then everyting went dark. My life basically 'flashed' before my eyes (common thing) in my knocked out state. Then i woke up and when i wanted to get up is when i actually felt pain, i was internally bleeding and my legs were temporarly unusable so i was unable to move from my spot at all. Anyone jumping that height wont be able to get up and walk it off. Too many risks imo.

Thanks for your reply. That's really helpful ♥️

I know this method is challenging and risky, but I don't have any other method. Check out this thread if you want to know why:

Dont worry its not distressing. I had TBI and one of my organs removed due to internal bleeding and damaged apine, otherwise i ended up better then expected considerinf the height i fell from. But now that im older im in need of mobility device like cane from balancing issues i assume it came from the brain injury.

And im in a better place now but the thoughts never leave stilll yk? Thank you for checking in regardless 🙂

It's probably like one of those sky Drop rides you would find in amusement parks without all the safety stuff.
