• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Probably, in both cases the body is trying to expel a toxic substance

Throwing up is throwing up. SN doesn't cause you to become intoxicated. Body registers both SN and (excessive) alcohol as poisons to it, and takes immediate steps to expel (the poisons) from "itself".

Both cause vomiting and nausea, that's for sure. And I guess it's what makes you worry. But with alcohol you also get this feeling of being happy (?). If you're not very very excited about dying, there's nothing like that to expect here. Pure discomfort :(

For the feeling of vomiting, just try drinking a saturated salt solution (avoid drinking too much and drink pure water afterwards).

Alcohol makes you feel happy by affecting your brains gaba receptors and depressing the central nervous system, I imagine there's a lot of discomfort with SN although survivors have very varied and mixed recounts of their experiences with some saying they felt extreme discomfort and distress and others saying it was like drifting off to sleep which is probably due to the slow loss of oxygen
