if i willed myself to die (stopped eating, drinking, moving around, etc.) would it actually work? i read it takes around 4 days and that you have to be in a very deep state of apathy. has anyone ever heard of or read about any successful cases? i want to give it a shot because from how it's described, one can bail (just in case) at pretty much any time. i tried it a few weeks ago but a friend of mine came to my dorm and forced me to eat about a day in. now, i'm thinking about going through with it on june 1st, 2020, when i'm no longer at said dorm in college where people can try to stop me (my parents don't give a shit). thoughts?

You will die, but it will take long. It's not peaceful.

What if you do that, get weaker and then take SN? I think the likelihood will increase with SN by this.

My method is maybe SN, and with a weaker body, it's more successful I guess. So I have thought about that.

But yeah, I can't recommend your idea itself. Like @ThatsEnoughForMe said.

Take your time to read some reports/articles first because it takes far more than 4-5 days to die from VSED, and there are other factors to consider. It can be a good idea for someone terminally ill and weakened, with caregivers around to help aleviate suffering. But for someone young like you I think there are better ways.

Agreed. The only time this really goes smoothly in hospice is when the person is already physically very ill. Even then it requires comfort care like moistening the mouth and lips. VSED is a rough way to go and prone to rescue, as you experienced previously.
