I've seen people talking about almost all method is somewhat painful, but I had just read How to hang yourself thread which says:
" This method is very lethal and quick (quick from your perspective anyway, as you black out within seconds), but if you're found in time and 'saved' you can end up with serious brain damage and/or be left a vegetable. "
It sounds peaceful with almost no pain here, so just wondering. Most media includes complete hanging shows the person struggling for quite a while before being blocked out.

I've been testing this method (unsuccessfully of course lol) but at times I've gotten to the point where I can tell my carotid arteries are blocked enough. In my experience it was painful, but not like crazy amounts of pain. Its more of like an discomfort kind of pain then anything else.

Be sure to know that failed attempts with hanging have grave consequences. Going long amounts of time with cerebral hypoxia and living makes life a living hell. Don't just do this in the whim of the moment.

Like any method it has its own drawbacks and it's not perfect. It's only peaceful with almost no pain if perfectly executed, and it's def a skill that has to be learned.

In theory, a good execution will be almost painless besides the initial discomfort like @apearl has mentioned, but after that because there will be no oxygen = no consciousness = no pain (simplified).

But it does require a lot of force. If you hesitate or it doesn't work, you can read many threads on here that describe how it feels (shitty, dizzy, confused, tired)

I doubt there is a way to learn and cope with that feeling of discomfort, right?

I think that you really really have to want to die to make most methods work..

Nothing u can really do, as it will always be unpleasant to compress an artery. But if you can practice somewhere, you will get used to the feeling and you won't panic as much overtime. But this won't happen in a day or a week probably

Its gonna be painful, not as much as other methods. The thing is if you do it right you'll pass out quick enough so do your research and dont be impulsive

it's not painless, but honestly it's not that bad, really depends on your pain tolerance

For me there is no pain but the discomfort and numbness is pretty much unbearable, those 2 factors are realistically the only reasons why I am alive right now and why I hesitate to keep trying. Worth saying that the setup definitely has to be near perfect to achieve an extremely fast knock-out time, which is what it is really.

I'm also struggling with my setup, can't figure it out to make myself pass out, I tried so many ways and idk what I'm doing wrong
