  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

For religious or ex religious people or even non believers who fear unknown possible repercussions if you do the deed. How did you get over?

Things like multiple lives, some odd form of hell? How are you sure you won't suffer after the deed?

Can't get worse than it already is here, really. Life is hell. Men have to be concerned with living and all that we know for sure is that life bears suffering.

>but it can always get worse
Yeah, but nobody knows anything anyway so there is no reason to worry. Concerning yourself with what you don't know doesn't make much sense.

No one can say for sure if there is such a thing as hell ( don't believe in it ) or rebirth ( I think it is maybe possible ).

Regardless of this, one should behave in such a way that one harms no one and helps others when it is possible or necessary.

We are totally conditioned by our environment. Any kind of karma or judgment in the face of death doesn't make any sense and wouldn't be fair at all.

I have never believed in hell, but there is no evidence of one existing. This life can be the true hell really. People commit suicide as they want to end suffering and they feel like they have no other choice - judgement after death doesn't make sense to me.

It doesn't that much, when it comes to God, in some religions you're very unlikely to suffer after CTB (For example, when you're catholic you might be not sure if you will have to spend most of your life in hell or not, but afaik, due to the nature of suicide [mental illness], you will not suffer because of that. Assuming that the catholics' afterlife exists, you will be judged by other stuff, not for the fact you decided to end your life while it was unbearable). I'm not a very religious person, and well... no knowledge about what will happen with us after our death may be a bit scary... but also it's quite intriguing. If I decide to not CTB, religion or any other stuff like that won't be the case I think.

I don't want to make any assumptions about afterlife, reincarnation etc. If it exists (or not), we will check it out sooner or later. Everyone will die one day, no matter if due to CTB or not. That makes my fear about it almost non existing.
If it turns out to be even worse than being alive, well, I gambled. Everyone gambles when dying I think. If it's better, worse, or if there's nothing waiting for us and we simply disappear... I don't mind that much. I will suffer, rest, be non existent anyway soon, maybe a bit earlier than others at my age, but it doesn't really matter for me. Discussions about it are really interesting, but I don't want my decision to be under influence of something that's not certain. The only thing I'm sure about is that's the time for my departure from this world.
