• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i'm on 20mg of fluoxetine for depression and anxiety, and i know that overdose in general, let alone on an ssri, like prozac, is not a reliable method of ctb.
but i feel incredibly depressed and unmotivated to come up with an elaborate and thought out method, but i need a way out.
so would taking anywhere between 1000-2000mg of fluoxetine, mixed with alcohol, and probably any other painkillers and random pills in my cabinet give me a good chance of dying?
i just need to know if trying this would be simply painful and pointless, or if it could work

You'd probably need about 250mg/kg that you weigh and it will be a pretty horrible experience with lots of chance of failure.

yeah i've definitely not settled on doing that but it's the method that's by far the most accessible and least terrifying to me.. still, probably best not to try at all if there's a pretty big chance i'll fail :/

No…That's why they prescibe it to depressed people.

Return to doctor and ask for med change. Or they could raise dose, add lithium (they probably won't do that but it can help) or add olanzapine.
