Is it painless and quick to die from inhaling pure nitrogen?

From what i see, lots of people here say that nitrogen is painless and easy to die. Is it true? If so, where can i get a pure nitrogen tank? i don't have a lot of money. I only have like $50.
Have you seen the video I linked in another thread today? They tested it on a pig.
They didnt kill animal life but they discuss it further with Bristol Uni scientist.

Yes, it should be painless. It kills pretty quickly, although not instantly. Most notably, you go unconscious quite fast.
I'm not sure how you could get everything you need for the method for $50, but if you do, please share. You will need more than just the tank - I recommend reading the chapter/s of the Peaceful Pill Handbook that discuss this method if you haven't already. You can find some recent editions of the ehandbook in this thread: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/list-of-resources.3/

The important fact is exhaling all your oxygen beforehand, and then clearing out the bag of all oxygen. The feeling of suffocation comes from the inability to exhale co2. If you inhale pure nitrogen, you dont have to feel like youre suffocating when you exhale.

50$ will get you the tank alone if its a rental. You need a regulator and a hose too. Regulators dont come cheap, you want a solid brand, dont get a cheapo one.
it comes up to approx maximum 250$. Obviously you can get it cheaper if you look around for second hand regulators. Just make sure they are not chinese.
Not nitrogen, but I tried knocking myself out with helium I got from amazon while inhaling it underwater. I emptied the entire tank and while I felt horribly dizzy and also started feeling panicky from lack of oxygen and my breathing rate increased a lot, I didn't pass out at any point. I felt kind of bad for the next 2 days and thought I had done some serious damage at first, but I fully recovered.
My only explanation is that there was some oxygen in the helium, but it was advertised as pure, so not sure what to make of what happened.
Others say they take 1 deep breath of inert gas and immediately pass out. I've also seen videos of people accidentally passing out while doing the funny helium voices and not breathing enough in between inhales.

as it could be a party kit the helium may not be pure.. hence it don't work for you..did they really say it was pure...any purity grade mentioned??
am in the process of procuring a helium take with high purity helium gas..the seller is willing to show the certificate as well...
I just checked the amazon page again. It says 99.5% purity.
Maybe I also messed up somehow. I basically filled a large balloon with helium and went underwater in the bathtub, then kept inhaling from the balloon and exhaling into the water, expecting to pass out within a few breaths and then drown, but when the balloon was empty I was still conscious, so I held my breath while going up and quickly refilling the balloon, then diving down again. Repeated this a few times until the 250 litres of helium were empty. By the end I found it extremely hard to hold my breath while refilling as my body had noticed the lack of oxygen and was urging me to breathe fast.
If I managed to pass out underwater I would have been dead, so maybe with a larger balloon and different helium it would work better, but I'd be hesitant to do it with just the gas after this experience.
Well who knows. Maybe the helium was good but my method was bad. After the first balloon, which was probably about 6 deep breaths worth, it got kind of hectic as I was always in a hurry to refill without breathing regular air. I was simply expecting to pass out much earlier after what I'd read and seen online.

your method i suppose wasn't good enough .. you should have used a bag.. as per the readings i did you at least need two heliun tanks if they are small...may be the quantity you inhaled wasn't enough to knock you down..

If I had no other options I might try this method again with different helium or different gas and a bigger balloon. If anything, it is relatively safe if the attempt fails. If you pass out underwater you are dead, and if you don't pass out then there should also hopefully be no long term damage done. I had a weighted backpack on just to make sure I wouldn't float up somehow after I passed out.
The experience was unpleasant, but not terrible. I basically just felt out of breath, similar to the way you feel after having run or jogged.
If you google shallow water blackout, that was basically what I was going for, just enhanced with helium. I feel it should have really worked, but for some reason it didn't.
A "bag" won't do the trick. You will feel the sensation of suffocation due to the buildup of carbon dioxide in the bag as you exhale. That's what causes the sensation. That's why inert gas methods always talk about the gas flow, because it is as much as about carrying away the carbon dioxide as it is about getting an inert gas into your lungs. The recommended rate of flow is about fifteen liters per minute.
You don't necessarily need the flow so long as you managed to find a large enclosed space you could fill with the gas, such that your exhaled carbon dioxide does not build up to a level that would trigger the suffocation reflex, but that is a whole other task.
Either way, you will be disappointed if you just stick your head in a bag of inert gas. It isn't enough, sadly; would that it were.
Not 'maybe'. Exactly why it didnt work.
Helium is too popular and fancy party stuff these days. You can get it from Asda and toy shops.
I would not trust it for that reason, even if they say its 99 pure.
Nitrogen seems safer for this purpose. Especially if you get it from specialist store.
