Help Is heart stabbing too risky?

Im not sure if this would fit under methods that should not be attempted, im sorry for asking that. im not sure where else i could ask this.

I would stand on my bed and hold the kitchen knife(im not sure what knife i would have access to the night i would do it) around my heart with my left hand and have my right palm on the bottom of the handle and fall/throw myself down onto my bed. Wearing a sturdy gardening glove on my right. I can practice falling holding something soft first.
i dont have a lock on my door and i know i will be making a lot of noise and i will probably wake one of my family members up. I cant be alone in the house. I dont really care it will hurt very horribly, just as long as i can die. Im scared it wont go in fully, it wont at all, i wont hit anything lethal. I found a very good source of stabbing in the heart and how. I wont be able to pull the knife out on my own so dying will take a while. im hesitant to do it because of survival instinct, i want to be motivated to do it because its the only way i see myself getting it done right, or maybe if i felt incredibly suicidal in that moment. Its was a spur of the moment idea for a method but i dont have anything else i see working right now.

Yes, it is, especially if you have others in the house. Stabbing in general is very high risk and is likely to fail. The only times I've heard of it ever succeeding (stabbing, mind you, as opposed to cutting) is one person who stabbed their neck, and even then I've heard of other incidents where the neck has failed. Stabbing should be written off as a method entirely, in my opinion.

It is really risky, and scary at least to me. I could never do it, SI would be too much, and i can't even imagine the pain.

Getting a good stab to the heart would be pretty good. You'd be liable to bleed out in like 30-90 seconds. Very unlikely to survive in my laymen opinion. Elliot Smith died by stabbing himself in the heart twice. I always found that romantic.

But, for your situation, the instability of your grip on the handle could potentially lead to the knife deflecting off your chest bone, then slicing your entire chest and neck up terribly, not killing you, leading to a lot of surgery to repair the mostly superficial damage, then really ugly scars. Or awesome cool scars, depending on how you look at it.

Regardless, I'd think the capability of actually piercing your chestplate would be low, given the instability of the surface, and the added instability of literally jumping in the air. Also that's just if you're trying to make sure it's level when you land. If you actually freak out at the last second and SI takes over, again, same situation, you're liable to just horribly misfigure yourself rather than actually die.

And yeah, like others have said, even a stab to the neck on the side of the throat is liable to still miss the carotid artery, then just have you in the same situation.

All scenarios for this point to a 95% chance of you going to the ER, getting surgery, then getting thrown in Grippy Socks Jail.
