Is going to the USA and to a gun range a viable option?

Hey guys,
I know stuff like this has been asked before but is it a possibility that a USA shooting range is a place to commit suicide? I see all different answers. Some say they have policies to prevent suicide others say foreigners can't, others say you can but need a hunting license. I just don't know. I am 32 and from Ireland. Here guns are restricted beyond belief. Even our police don't have them. Any advice from americans who really know would be appreciated. Not just americans who it might be easy for them to shoot at a range. I need it to be easy for me as a tourist, not an immigrant.

Life is so hard guys. I can't believe a website like this gets painted badly. Society doesn't work for everyone. Humans are deep and complex and society has a lot of do-x-y-or-z before you will be treated appropriately. I can't....

That would traumatize everyone at the gun range. They are very strict at gun ranges.

Unfortunately, even many Americans are unable to legally acquire fire arms, and they won't allow a foreigner to rent guns because they look at IDs. It may be possible to go with an American friend, but there are numerous significant risks associated with trying to ctb at a range.
