  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Of course if this forum goes down noone will be able to access it no matter their homecountry. But I read like they could potentially doxx common users. Do they mean only British users with that?

Okay there are welfare checks for some.

If they're able to dox members of this forum, I doubt they'll discriminate by nationality. But would they really have the energy and resources to send lists of names to all countries? They'll probably just focus on the brits.

But then again, it's never a bad idea to have strict privacy protocols in place. Don't post anything that could be directly linked back to you. Be careful when sharing files and images as they may have identifying metadata (use an EXIF remover of pics and download files as pdfs). Use Tor or a VPN to stay safe from your ISP's prying eyes. Use Brave as a browser as it blocks cookies and ads. Don't use Google to search for this site, use DuckDuckGo.

Also, don't mention this site your family. If you CTB, remove all traces of you ever being here.

That's the advice I can give you as someone who has been interested in online privacy and cybersecurity for years.
