• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm so fucking angry at the world. I don't know why, as it's not anyone's fault and being angry won't help anything. But it's so unfair. It's so fucking unfair that people have a life not riddled with self hatred. That people got to have a childhood where they didn't self-harm and think about suicide. Most people haven't tried to off themselves before they've even turned 13. It's not fair. It's not fucking fair. Why is it fair that me and others had our lives stripped from us like this? It's not fair. I'm so tired.

  1. Life exists because the environment allowed it to exist. It has no purpose or divine right to feel good.
  2. Living organisms, including humans, are built to survive, not primarily to be happy
  3. Happiness is part of the human condition, but some people will find it more difficult than others to maintain inner wellbeing
  4. There is no divine force willing you to be happy. Only you and maybe other conscious beings that know of your existence care about your wellbeing because it's part of their nature. All you can do is increase your chances of being happy through effort.
  5. In relation to point 4, you're going to have to bring acceptance to this and acceptance to how you feel, rather than resisting it, but one thing that might help is realising those "happy" people who you are angry at may not be as happy as you think.
  6. Accept the hand you've been dealt, and just do your best with it
  7. Don't compare your life to anyone elses, it will just make you worse, which is self-evident with the way you're feeling now.

This is all true, but most likely not new information to anyone here.
How to actually change your train of thought is the million dollar question, one with no shortage of theories.
I assume OP is venting and not seeking these theories, though I would second that anger makes things worse; I am happy for the people who are [seemingly] happy, I just wish I and everyone who feels the same didn't have to be part of their [seemingly] happy world.

Sadly that is what most of us think when we look at the fortunate ones. If it's any consolation they never chose any of their fortunes the same way we didn't choose ours. And almost everyone seems to not be sated in this disastrous world. No matter how perfectly healthy or wealthy they seem to be.
