Discussion If you're a college student, is it better to CTB at home or at school?

Do you think it would be better to CTB when on the college campus or while at home for break? I hate to give my family a negative association with the holidays but I am getting desperate and need to work out the details for a final plan.

so true bae but i am an RA so i dont have a roOOMATE. I doubt my university would tell the kids on my floor that i died let alone how i died so wha is your NEW ANSWER LAMOOOOOO

Well, I guess dorm then. Since your family won't be the ones to find the body. Might as well save them from that hurt. And also, at college, you have the least chance of getting disturbed. Or so I imagine at least.

Personally I'd do it at school. Not in my dorm room but somewhere on campus or near campus. There's lots of places because you have access to lots of buildings.

What's your method? Does it lend itself as being practical in another place? Like maybe a car or something?

I'd do it at home because if you fail your attempt at college it will be a major scandal and you will likely get kicked out. That will introduce a whole new set of problems. Best of luck.

You need to kill yourself somewhere where you will have complete privacy and zero risk of someone discovering you. I've heard of many people's attempts failing because although they tried to kill themselves when they were certain their families were away/sleeping, a family member still found them (for example, my ex-friend thought her mom was asleep since it was in the middle of the night but her mom was actually still awake and caught her trying to kill herself). If you live with a roommate, then you really should rent out a hotel for a night or something. You have to be alone or else the risk for failure is just too great.

I highly doubt OP would be kicked out; I think they'd just be put into a psych ward for some days and referred to their college's counseling service.

I'm 100% planning to do it at uni - wouldn't want to put my family through having to discover me, I have more privacy there and since my life is not unpleasant at home I feel like I can at least survive the time until I go back
