8 months of sobriety? But I only did that for circumstantial reasons- not because I truly wanted to stop shooting up dope.

I can hinestly say that there have been very little positive things to note this year {and certainly nothing beautiful). Things have just gone from extremely bad to worse.

I would have missed on a lot of neverending financial struggles, unnecessary humiliations and trauma. That's about it. Looking back I kinda regret not ctb-ing earlier this year.

college. i've met some great people, and learning how to live on my own has been a gratifying experience. doing laundry for the first time really boosted my self-esteem!

I've found a whole world of amazing music I'd never been exposed to when I started listening to music outside of my native language. I have found a few German artists that are now among my favorite artists of all time (Oonagh and Santiano, I'm thinkin' of you) as well as some awesome Russian stuff that I don't even know how to type in English. This, in turn, has lead me to start studying German again (something I gave up after high school) and singing in it as well.
