Yes, in fact right now I'm in first year :)
I like it but it's a struggle. However I will fight to pass till the beginning of summer, at least.

My trip to Jamaica. That one kiss I shared with a gorgeous stranger who I met on the side of the road in Kingston. We took the bus to Portland and strangers kept asking if we were engaged lmao. We ended up staying 2 nights together going to the beaches, holding hands. I got completely smashed and he ended up having to carry me to bed and missed a party to watch over me lol. It was perfect and all the other guests at the hostel I was staying at kept telling us to get married.
I also would have missed bamboo rafting across the river. Climbing waterfalls. Frenchman cove beach, that one lady In Jamaica who went hours out of her way to help me navigate Kingston, getting authentic presents for my family. The Bob Marley museum. Swinging across the rivers with a rope you had to do a full balancing act on.
Meeting a black king who was doing dope ass shit and was a surgeon #blackexcelence
Meeting my second mom who was this short ball of energy that loved me to pieces.
This is one of the pieces I got for my sister. I scribbled her name out but the guy makes them out of hollowed out fruit. They dry it out then carve the fruit out and then they carve designs on it too. It says Jamaica on it and he insisted on carving my sister's name on it. Then they attach handles to it so you can wear it as a small purse

This might sound kind of weird. But I took in an abused chicken. She was in rough shape. I had no idea what I was doing but she had nowhere else to go so I couldn't turn my back on her. I nursed her completely back to health. She would've died if I didn't take her. Now she's happy and healthy. This past year has been so hard for me but that one thing made it worth living through.

Also, there were brief periods of time when I was happy with my ex, but my ex also brought the most amount of pain to me than any other factor this year, so it's hard to think about him in a good light this year. If you asked me this question last year, I definitely would have said, "I'm so happy I didn't kill myself, because I met him"..but now I regret not doing it when I had the chance haha. Being cheated on by someone you loved, even if it was just microcheating, is the worst possible thing I could ever experience. I want to die every time I think about what went through his head while he was messaging her..

And while things don't look like they're going anywhere, at least not now, with the guy that took me on that first date this year...he literally took me to Disneyland, a restaurant there that I have dreamed about going to since I was a little kid, and another restaurant that I have dreamed about going to since about a year ago or so haha. I really liked him too; our personalities were super compatible. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to date anyone right now, especially because I'm too fat, and also he stopped talking to me regularly anyway because his friend died, and he fell depressed..but that was definitely a magical day. I still can't believe it happened...or that he did that for me on a freaking first date (we met online)

EDIT: Also, there was a brief moment post plastic surgery when I felt pretty..but my surgery didn't end up too good as time progressed, so rip to that

oh wait, I did reach my goal weight of 105 pounds! Of course, I maintained it for like two hours before exploding back 45 pounds, but for a split second, that was a fleeting high to reach my first goal weight

I conquered my fear of volcanoes and simultaneously added and checked "drink a beer on top of an active volcano" off my bucket list.

I got to fly in a two seater plane within 50 feet of the top of another one, over 14000 ft. The pilot said it's usually too windy to do so it was a rare experience, even for him. The view was gorgeous.

I met and am now working with my hero. I've met some pretty cool people and had some great experiences along the way.

You know what, that really doesnt sound weird to me. A sentient being really, really needed you and despite probably having very little of yourself to spare you committed to being a chicken mama! Haha thank you for reminding me that I can find meaning and purpose if only I can remember to be outward looking instead of always obsessively looking in at my own misery. Everyone should get sick chickens. X

Talking to my friend on the phone while she is rocking her new born baby to sleep and listen to his tiny sighs. Holding that baby even if I was freaking out about hurting him somehow. Dreaming of carrying my own baby and waking up happy about that dream. Feeling the night breeze go through my hair for the first time in almost 14 years. Getting my hair falt ironed for the first time ever and hating it beacause it is just too flat. Reading Harry Potter and falling in love with the magical world. Watching tv shows that I just liked even if they were silly or lame like This Is Us and Peaky Blinders.
