Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

If SN from IC gets opened / checked at customs, will the SN lose it's shelf life and by how long? Will the SN "expire" faster?

SN should have a near enough indefinite shelf life, the biggest killer of it likely being moisture.

If customs open it, shelf life is sadly going to be pretty low down on your list of worries.

My SN package from IC was opened at customs, but the bags themselves were untouched (probably because they said "Sodium Nitrite" on them).
But even if they are opened, as long as they're closed again, I'd estimate it'll be good for almost until the expiration date.

😭😂. It's funny cuz customs should be the biggest of my worries but it's the least.

If the package containing the SN was closed when you received it, then if even it was momentarily opened by customs (which is sort of unlikely) it should be fine for several months at least. Continued exposure to oxygen is what'll damage it, and so as long as it's been sealed since it's arrived it'll be good for a while. IC themselves have said for several months at least.
