This nice lady in the movie was lucky enough to live in a state where she had the choice to end her suffering with dignity., I just want a sound decision and NOT a government telling me what I can and can not do.
yep. same with wa and the other us states. if you have any history of mental illness you will never get approved either. i have an aunt who went through the whole process for stage 4 pancreatic cancer, the most painful cancer essentially and the most deadly but she died suffering prior to getting meds. she dies basically bleeding out internally and choking on her own vomit and blood vs just falling asleep due to all the red tape around it. you must also be a resident of that state which takes a minimum of 6 months so unless you already live there you would likely die before you got approved and we'rea resident.I live on Oregon. If you look at the state website, it says you must have a terminal illness from which you will die in 6 months. Probably doesn't apply to most of us on this site.
Doesn't hurt to try i have tinnitus + 100 other physical conditions and with tinnitus many got approved for this in switzerlandMan i live in belgium in litterly the most open country when it comes to assisted suicide and let me tell you this. You will never get assisted suicide for depresion ever for most chronic pains you wont even get it. It happens yeah that somebody gets it for mental problems but this is supper supper rare and will take months of going to doctors and doing paperwork. I live with a serious facial deformity and even i got a no. So dont dream to big about one docu because it misses the bigger picture
if you live in the us you will have to pay just a processing fee for them to even look at your app. very few even get approved. i have seen many in here try even some with very severe illnesses and they took their several hundred dollars to deny them. you won't get it back either.Doesn't hurt to try i have tinnitus + 100 other physical conditions and with tinnitus many got approved for this in switzerland
Tittinus is 1 of my symptoms too so i know what you're going trough ( i have plagiocephaly its a twisted skull my front part of the skull so my face etc grew in an 10 degree angle so it looks like im looking at my left all the time very weird stuff. Im pretty sure titinus is caused by asymmetrical ears and ear canals. I have been researching this for some years now. Did you ever concidered going for a 3d ct scan to check for cranial base asymmetries? And you wont get assisted suicide for tittinus atleast it would be very rare and you will have to go trough a judge etc long procedure with minimal chances of a good outcome.Doesn't hurt to try i have tinnitus + 100 other physical conditions and with tinnitus many got approved for this in switzerland
I've been saving up but did those people get rejected from Pegasos too?if you live in the us you will have to pay just a processing fee for them to even look at your app. very few even get approved. i have seen many in here try even some with very severe illnesses and they took their several hundred dollars to deny them. you won't get it back either.
i'm not sure. i know for sure dignatas has. if you haven't i would search it or make a post asking about it as i've seen a lot of ppl try and not mention the name of the company to be devastated at losing the money. just wrong they don't give back the funds if they deny you.I've been saving up but did those people get rejected from Pegasos too?
I got tinnitus from an mri a month ago the techs never gave me construction muffs and i was in there for 2 hours. Thats sad to hear :( . I also have scoliosis wich makes walking very painfull but its a type of scoliosis that cant be treated sadly. I really wished my euthanasia got approved but my condition is in such a dark field because its so rare and there isnt much clinical data for it. Heck even when you look it up on google its stated that its a benign condition wich makes it really hard because doctors usually dont take it serious because of it. Its sad that i have to go by my own hand because its quite scary and i have been roaming in here for quite some time because i dont have the balls to do it. It makes the suffering even worse :/I got tinnitus from an mri a month ago the techs never gave me construction muffs and i was in there for 2 hours. That's not it at all. The healthcare system everywhere in the U.S. makes a huge profit. They want to keep people alive not kill them. All the treatments medicines and hospital visits are how they make money.relieving cost burden for the healthcare system
I see you are in Belgium. Why can't you use the legal way there? Sorry to be so dumb, but I thought it wasn't that hard if you have medical problems that cause suffering?I also have scoliosis wich makes walking very painfull but its a type of scoliosis that cant be treated sadly.
I tried, but even here euthanasia is quite rare for mental health problems. Because facial disfugerment and deformities are treated as cosmetic problems and not really as fysical problems. Few months ago someone had euthanasia for depresion and the parents went to court to sue the doctors. they lost, but because of that i dont see a to bright future in euthanasia anymore in belgium. Right now you almost have to be terminal ill to have euthanasiaThat's not it at all. The healthcare system everywhere in the U.S. makes a huge profit. They want to keep people alive not kill them. I also have scoliosis wich makes walking very painfull but its a type of scoliosis that cant be treated sadly. She was pretty and likable. At the end of the movie you could see her abdomen was very big so she was at that time suffering badly. It was a blessing she had an easy way out. So many horrible illnesses cause such terrible suffering.i really felt for that woman Kodi. she was so full of life
That doesn't make sense to me, hospital treatments cost tons of money and only those with an insurance can afford them. I recently saw the docu "The Waiting Room (2012)" about a hospital in the US and they showed long queues of people who couldn't afford an insurance and were the last in line to get any treatment (if at all). The healthcare system everywhere in the U.S. makes a huge profit. They want to keep people alive not kill them. All the treatments medicines and hospital visits are how they make money.
Yes they cost tons of money. In the US a fortune. That is how they make money. ON the ones that pay. Do you think one aspirin really costs $14?That doesn't make sense to me, hospital treatments cost tons of money
Sorry, I didn't realize there are that many rich people in the US.Yes they cost tons of money. In the US a fortune. That is how they make money. ON the ones that pay. Do you think one aspirin really costs $14?
They have insurance.Sorry, I didn't realize there are that many rich people in the US.
Yes, that's what I meant, I used the wrong word (assurance) in my post, corrected it now. They have insurance.
