This is according to the PPH, is it really that quick? I don't wanna risk not dying quickly enough and end up with permanent disability after being rescued.

It depends on each person and each organism, we are all different, but the times do not really vary much. It must also be taken into account that the PPH information was based on older people. I recommend you read the goodbye threads here to give you an idea. there are some well-documented ancient ones.
