It's clear to me that from now on it will only be torture, and torture and torture. I can't take it anymore. I'm going crazy. Every single plan and expectation that I had got destroyed with cruelty. This life clearly went wrong. There's nothing I can do anymore.

I don't want to be a curmudgeon, as I don't walk in your shoes, so I'm kind of grasping in the dark so to speak.

Is it possible that if you adjust your expectations, you won't be so disappointed and tortured? "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change." I have found, throughout my life, that this statement is very true.

i feel you. i can't take this torturous existence anymore. i have no prospects and i'm hideous. i have nothing to live for.

Having no prospects or hope for the future makes me feel so anxious, angry and frustrated. I cry at nights and I have to either be busy or playing video games. I don't understand how I got here

Well, it's only the new normal temporarily. Maybe you could look at it like that - that this "new normal" is just a bump in the road that you need to get over. I'm not saying that's easy, but maybe if you look at it as a temporary thing, and know you will eventually pull out if it, maybe if you just have that tiny little glimmer of hope, that things just might get better, maybe that's all you need. You don't need to go from completely depressed to completely happy, It comes in stages, baby steps. A tiny glimmer of hope now gets your foot in the door. You are not going to be all perfectly happy immediately - that's an unrealistic expectation that's just going to make the disappointment and depression feed on itself, because now you are depressed that you are depressed. Instead, try to focus on that tiny glimmer of hope, and it too will feed on itself.

I don't mean to downplay your feelings or how bad you feel. We are all here for a reason. Just trying to help a fellow sufferer with something that worked for me.
