  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

My main worry is that my body will still be clinging to life with a significant decreased capacity to function.. and still be forced to be alive as a vegetable in a greater hell than the current situation. I need a solid idea of how to find someone who can in essence "finish the job" if things do not go as planned. Maybe I could travel somewhere if they treat mental illness as a terminal illness and would give me a fool proof method to leave the suffering. Don't have access to some of the sure ways to leave right now. Feel a little bit stuck. Also worried about the pain of dying.

I have the exact same problem. Forget about traveling. I am not even supposed to leave my front door never mind the grocery store, and forget crossing any borders.

I am aiming for brain dead, because in my will, I requested that they pull the plug at this point and they have to.

You are likely not going to find someone who will do this for you. On the off chance someone messages you offering to then you should not trust them under any circumstances. They will likely take advantage of you and you could end up suffering far more than you imagine.

Yeah, have had this thought.

Especially if you are offering payment or doing the act in your own home. It would most-likely need to be a longtime friend who I know has the same belief system on this matter. If payment was involved I would probably need some third party to enact a will. The third part would confirm I am dead and be legally responsible to "bequeath" a certain amount. Could take years and years of careful planning and prep/testing to find an option that is fool proof.

It would help to find someone that you know without a doubt has been in the community for a while and has a track record of following through with helping people.

I found an advanced directive for people with Dementia. It's a new concept but it basically is if you are beyond the capacity to even feed yourself then you want nothing except pain relief. No drops of water on your lips. Nothing. I'm getting one done along with a covid one I have. Whoever is your POA has to be willing to get into peoples faces.

I know getting all my paperwork done helped me alot.

You have to be very careful involving anyone because it might be illegal. A woman in Ireland was arrested just for buying a plane ticket for someone to go to Switzerland where it is legal. So even talking about someone else involved in even a minor way could cause them serious long term legal issues.
