Seriously, I don't understand how people are happy.

How are people in a good mood? What is there to be happy about? Are people really enjoying their lives, or are they just pretending to?

It doesn't seem possible to me to actually be happy most of the time. I've been so miserable for so long that I've literally forgotten what it feels like to be happy, to wake up feeling good and excited to start the day.

It feels so alien to me that there are actually people in the world who enjoy being alive.

it gets annoying when some of these happy people that are constantly showing off how happy they are by being animated in the way they speak, and sometimes they do these cringey ass expressions and body movements. its hard to explain in words, but its like how this girl acts in this video:

i get how people can be happy under the right circumstances... not to say i havent always had a depressive personality, because i definitely have even prior to the major issues i have now which are the main driving forces behind me wanting to die, but back then i was able to feel happiness at times even if there was still some emptiness. idk, i feel like a took a lot for granted back then, but i cant blame myself... theres a chance even if i woke up tomorrow and my body was healed that i'd still focus on the negative. its just how my brain operates, and a lot of it has to do with not fitting in with those crowds who always seem to be happy and enjoying life.

Most YouTube normies are like this. I avoid viewing this kind of thing as it makes me extremely pissed off.

I think happy people are only that way cos they are deluded and by that I mean in their safe little bubbles not having experienced how fucking bullshit the real world really is and not understanding the futility of it all. All we are doing is filling in time before we die. There is no higher meaning/purpose to life.

I spent 55 years thinking I was really happy but now I've got depression looking back maybe I wasn't. Was I just keeping as busy as possible which gave an illusion of happiness.
Desperately miss those days though, but can't get motivated enough to get them back

I know the feeling. If you're busy, have a job, family etc it can feel like you're happy cos you're busy and preoccupied with things but deep down there is an emptiness which is noticeable when you stop being busy.

Yes my job was keeping me going. Including the commute and overtime probably averaged 65 hours a week with about 50 hours for sleep and 15 for exercise leaving what about 50 for socialising ,relaxing, chores etc.
Not working is disastrous for happiness there's just way too much time

A lot of it is conditioned. Pressurised hapiness because thats what we are supposed to be.
Some people are so stupid that they dont examine their life. Or maybe they are the smart ones i dont know. Ignorance is bliss
But the most annoring people are the ones who put a higher pitch on the last word of their sentence...

That is true. Like I said there is really no point/purpose to life all we are doing is filling in time before we die and if you run out of things to fill in the time you realise how pointless it all is.

There's no such thing as happy people in my opinion. Just some people who cope at life better than us.

It shocks me when people say they've never gone through depression, had insecurities and whatnot. Like how the hell did you do that? It's so creepy.

This will sound really terrible and I mean it in the best way possible, but watching "happy" people gives me the same feeling I get when watching cute animals play with each other. "Aw :3"

Of course people can be happy, like any animal. Providing they have their needs met and don't fuss about the meaning of life. It is distasteful how spoiled an animal human is. The universe doesn't owe us meaning.

I can see having a lot of happy moments in the day, but I can't comprehend someone's base level emotion being happy. I think the people that seem elated all the time are just putting on a show in public because they think it's socially pleasing.

I don't need to be happy all or even most of the time. Even just relaxing at the end of the day can make up for a rough day. I want to die due to circumstances I can't change not because I can't be minimal levels of happy.
