Venting I hate people

I was just out for a walk, headphones in, lost in the music, trying to find a small piece of peace in the chaos of everyday life. I didn't hear her coming - the cyclist. She didn't call out, didn't slow down. Just shoved past me like I was nothing. No warning. No apology. Just force, and then she was gone.

It happened in seconds, but the feeling lingers like a bruise under the skin. Shock, confusion, a deep and bitter sting. It wasn't just the physical push - it was the message it carried: that my presence, my space, didn't matter. That people can be careless, cruel, and keep going without a glance back.

Now I can't stop thinking about it. I replay it in my head, wondering If I did something wrong. But mostly, I just feel crushed - like the world outside has sharp edges I can't protect myself from. I've barely left my bed since. I don't want to walk those streets again. I don't want to face the world. I hate how people move through life without care, and how one moment can shatter your sense of safety.

I used to love walking. Now I just want to disappear.

You certainly did nothing wrong. But in this particular case you have to keep in mind that this cyclist someday may have probably made the same experience as you with a car. It's just a pecking order, which makes your oberservations not less valid of course.

After the cyclist pushed me aside, she crossed the street and if a car driver or bus driver had hit her or maybe even run over her when she tried to cross the street, then I wouldn't have helped her!

For every shitty cyclist there is a kind old lady. Some people suck, some only some days some always, some other people can make life worth living, some harder. This shit aint wisdom, it's just a mess of people out there.

I'd really hate if you were to lose your love for walking just out of one encounter with a cyclist like that. If It happened recently I can't ask of you to just get over it, give yourself some time. I also get how it's just not only about the cyclist. If you are suicidally depressed (which maybe you are not but you are here so...) things like these hit hardest and remind you of the general social mess you are forced to coexist in when you barely have the strenght for it. The urge to disappear is strong then. I tend to isolate too for those reasons, I just can't face it when it's that state we are in, reclusion becomes a survival mechanism. A way out of society and that tension and pain we can't handle. Just not one that brings hapiness in the long run or even much short term.

So if you can return to going for a walk in some time, please do. Listening to music with headphones just walking around is great and it helps me too. So regardless of how the world and its people still are out there, don't let them take you the few things you find joy in in this world. Any bit is worth it. In any case you take it easy, hugs <3

I'm sorry she had to do that. I have people around me who are like that all the time. Like this one couple for example they snobbed me one day and they always use say hi when my ex was with me. Your... date? What if you fail to do it in time? You'll feel horrible — that's what! I think it's better to end yourself when you feel like it and ONLY if you deduced it's an absolute necessity.
