I asked the pharmacist a suicidal question and he was clueless

So apparently if you mix Sildenafil and Nitroglycerin within 24hrs of each other, it CAN drop your blood pressure to a lethal level. Well, I asked the pharmacist if this was true and then proceeded to ask, "Would it still do that to me, even though Sildenafil isn't meant for women". And he even said to me, "Well yes, because the concern is the drop in blood pressure". So, just to be sure, I said, "So, hypothetically, if I took it, would it be a guarantee". And his response was, "Well, it's not guaranteed". I said, "Thank you", and walked out.

I doubt he even had a clue why I was asking. Are people, even pharmacists, that out of touch with suicidal thinking? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he didn't catch on. I was even shaking the entire time I asked. But nope, just right over his head LOL

My housemate has prescription of nitro because of his heart. I also keep one on my person in case he needs one and I can't get to his pocket. And the sildenafil, well that you can probably just get from a Primary Dr or Urologist.

I read a case of a man taking Sildenafil and then faking a heart attack at the ER so he could get the nitro. They didn't know he had taken it, so they gave him a nitro.

If you don't know, Sildenafil is Viagara lol.

You could be asking about drug interactions with another prescription you have. There's nothing out of the ordinary with such a question. Not everyone gets all of their prescriptions at one place.
