I think you are getting biased answers to your question. Most members here prefer to not reveal their real identity. Now, if you say: "I am a highschool dropout.", this is not an issue for being identified, not by googling, neither by someone you know accidentally coming across this thread. However, if the answer is: "I hold two PhDs, one in neuroscience and one in legal studies.", this might feel like a lot of identifying information, especially combined with information from your other posts, so I think you are getting fewer of these answers than your population sample holds.
Also, some fields get unpleasant answers if mentioned. There was a therapist a while ago, already meantioned in this thread, who revealed his profession because it was central to his pain, a coworker and friend of his had lost his license for suicidality. He got a lot of "Oh, excellent, you can now fix us all!", which is just added pressure, rather than the comiseration and other comforting things people get here while they do not mention their education or field.
I believe many here could relate for having had to grieve over the person they were or the person they could have been, the life lost..it's like showing up at your own funeral whilst alive, day in and day out, and you're the only one in attendance.
Can relate. It hurts to watch the potential I could not leverage just rot and decay.
