I know that I'd be dead and it wouldn't matter but I'm alive now and it bothers me a lot.
That helps some. Thanksi would not give a flying fk because i know everyone who chooses to live will suffer and ill be resting in peace while they have to cope with the hardships of life
So it doesn't matter when we check out because death is the great erase buttonI find comfort in the fact that we are all equal in death. Nothing we do here will follow us, good or bad. That helps when I feel envy or shame.
Personally, yeah, I believe that.So it doesn't matter when we check out because death is the great erase button
I agree that everyone has their own beliefs regarding whether or not there is an afterlife, what it is, maybe where, and all that. But, whether there is something, or isn't something, is a binary choice. It either exists or it doesn't. There is no in between. It can't depend on one's belief. It's a right or wrong proposition that will only be found to be correct, or incorrect, once the erase button is hit, so to speak. Simply believing something exists does not bring something into existence. Conversely, simply believing something does not exist cannot make it not exist.Personally, yeah, I believe that.
Course, it depends on your belief of the afterlife. But I despise religion and wish it had never had a part in my life. Atheism can be freeing and even relieving, I'm finding.
I'm indifferent about when someone commits suicide. If they believe it's the right time, who am I to judge them
