Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

How come people who post here aren't tracked and put in mental hospital or something?

idk how they'd do that without monitoring your internet activity and i dont think the CIA (or whatever feds where u live) really care about that, much less your ISP

chances are most of us on here have already been hospitalized at one point. and it's not like they can lock us up for life to insure we don't ctb, that would be a bit silly.

In the UK our NHS is in such a state that Mental Health Services can't cope with those seeking help from, or being referred by, General Practioners. The very last thing they wish to do is add even more folk needing help onto the endless waiting lists.

oh yeah my anorexic friends from UK couldn't get mental help at a hospital because they weren't underweight enough imagine telling an anorexic "um you aren't skinny enough to get help" lmao. mental health help is a joke

We're distributed throughout the world in different legal jurisdictions so it would require significant effort. What jurisdiction/country even is the website hosted in?

The best thing about this site is that we can speak our minds without fear of persecution or judgement. I live in the US and just about everything we do is tracked.

But yeah- probably depends which country you are in. Quite a big invasion of privacy in any country I imagine to track someone down from here. Wouldn't they need a warrant? Suicide isn't illegal now in a lot of places. Although, encouraging it or assisting in it still is in many places.
In the UK at least, the NHS is overwhelmed as it is. The last thing they want is more needy patients.

Honestly, that probably would be pretty awesome! It would be cool to meet everyone here. Definitely would make the duration of the lock-up more enjoyable, since we have some pretty funny and interesting characters here.
Perhaps one of the admins can shine further light on this question? I just joined and am enjoying my time on the site. However, I like my privacy and have no interest in being tracked down and locked away lol. That would be enough incentive for me to deactivate my account.
