• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I have been making a plan to ctb for a few months now. Every time I get close to the date I have set, I have a slight glimmer of hope or inconvenience show up. Any advice for how to ignore the small illusions that things will get better?

If you're having hope pop up frequently that it's worth going on then it may very well be. I'd say if you can, then try to explore every one of them first, you never know if life can get better until it does honestly.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry life has brought you hear. I would have to agree with the other posts. I think suicide is something you ought to be absolutely sure about before you do it. I imagine there may come a point where there simply isn't any hope left- at which point- I think you'll know yourself. Until then, like others have said- maybe exhaust all these other options that are giving you hope. They may not help but they may- you never really know. I wish you all the best- whatever you decide to do.

Hope is just a delusion to eventually lead to more suffering once one is forced to face reality. It could also be part of the instinct to survive and it's like the survival instinct exists to trap us in this world and prolong our torment. After all, only you know when it's the right time to leave this world, but I could never understand how anyone could feel hopeful about existing when the reality is that we exist to suffer, deteriorate and die with no limit as to how much we can be tortured. The existence of life is a tragedy.

I have a similar thing going on.
I will write down a decision tree of my options.
If the likely ones are a dead end, I will start drinking heavily and keep my method ready.
It will all happen while drunk, the more I drink the darker are my thoughts and the less i fear death.
It is just in my current situation I cannot drink alcohol, but i am going to change it soon.

よろしく!
When I get too hopeful, I go the news and social media to remind myself how awful humans can be
