Honestly, I'm surprised with how chill this place is

It feels like with most websites on the subject of death, the people on those sites would be more offensive and edgy, but this place seems more calm. Like on WPD for example, that place is a cesspool of racist and awful people and I miss the Reddit version of it, but here, everyone seems respectful and caring. It honestly feels freeing to be on here and is a good place to get some of my dark thoughts off of my chest. Thank you.

I agree. It's also kind of surprising that- despite other pretty controversial subjects,most people remain civil. A few heated discussions here and there and the occasional lapse but overall, it's a very compassionate community- I've found anyway.

Well for once we all are hear for the same reason - cue the website name -
Then we grow quite accustomed to people coming and going for diverse reason (ctb or more rarely recovery) (for real - while ctb thread are still a sad thing, we react to them very differently than the average people).
Then again we all are still here for diverse reason (for of the "after", lingering hope, lack of means...)

So basically we aint going hysteric because you're announcing you want to die, no.
Being in the same situation and with mostly the light in our eyes gone and flickering, we can only listen and sometimes answer.
