Help! Aquarium sn test orange after pink

Bought sn did blood test and itt dark brown. Aquarium test shows first dark pink. Pink is nitrite and nitrate.
stick turns orange
after 30 second both nitrite and nitrate now what.. taste and look like nitrite.. and says on bottle and is professional source

Later tried smaller amount apparently to much of the sn makes outcome different, I read now in other thread

I now used the strip in just destilled water and it turns pink!
As though there is nitrite and nitrate in them…So the test is no good.. can I rely on just the blood test??

dunno bout aquarium tests . if a blood sample turns brown color then it's very likely that it's SN

actually SN is lethal in "small" doses already. the suggested avg. amount of 25g in the proven protocols is far higher than the LD50 dose of SN.

Most tests have a limited acurate reading time and get discoloured after that. Check the instructions.
Also make sure to not put it in longer than the package says and to keep it leveled (the chemicals mix easily) as per instruction!

If you are really unsure buy a liquid test.
Much more accurate than strips. Fishkeepers mainly rely on those.

You can get water sampels professionally tested in fish stores. Say you are cycling the tank and want to make sure you are making progess (Generally fishtanks have some bacteria that turns ammonia from waste to nitrite and then to nitrate so that is exactly what to test for in a cycling tank. If the water looks cloudy it could be explained as bacteria bloom too)

Apperently there are reviews that this test is not good. Well a lot of the reviews are good but some specify nitrite and nitrate are not accurate
