Oh my god,have i let myself go.I rarely even take a shower now.Hell i don't even change my underware daily,i stink,i don't wash my hair,i eat badly,i don't brush my teeth,i don't wear any makeup,do my nails.I'm a mess.
I had to take a bus ride today,I was so embarrassed,it was only when the Journey began i noticed how badly i smelled.
I used to shower daily, sometimes twice, even three times daily.I changed my clothes daily, ate healthily, kept fit, brushed my teeth, washed my hair, looked and smelled wonderfull.I'm depressed for years but lately i have really let myself go.

Yeah I'm sorry to say I'm in a similar situation. It's getting to the point with me where I feel like I'm losing my mind from the monotony.

I think I got you beat. I did not take a shower recently for 3 months, took a shower twice a week for a month or so, then went 4 months without taking a shower. I would wear the same clothes and underwear for a month or so, but then the smell got so bad that I would have to at least wash my clothes. My room and bed became infested with bed bugs that were biting the shit out of me all day and night. I also have not got a haircut since January, and have been cutting it myself to save money. Obviously, it looks horrible since I do not know how to properly cut hair. I am also all alone at work so no one sees me, otherwise I would have been fired. As far as now, I have killed all the bed bugs, and am back to showering once a week. It is the best I can do, at least for now. I hear when you quit taking care of yourself, suicide is near. It is one of the tell tale signs.

I was/am in a similar situation.Right now I got it a bit under control. I shower almost every day, change underwear etc.. but somedays I just don't. It really depends on how I feel. The thing that made me change was the smell. As soon as I noticed it I changed. I couldn't bear my own smell. Back then when I didn't shower for weeks I didn't realize how badly I reeked. Fortunately I took notice. Recognizing the problem is the first step towards the solution. I still smell a bit but there's not much I can do. I'm already exhausted. It's very hard to do anything, I always have to force myself.

Just going through the routine of my day - getting up, going to work, working - takes all my energy. Everything drains me and sleep is not refreshing. Then getting up again...
I constantly have to go for the lowest limit I can get away with (and sometimes temporarily lower). This includes personal hygiene.
Not a life, existing drearily at best.

Yes. I used to be particular about my appearance and cleanliness, probably more than the average person. Even while backpacking in the wilderness I had to have my lipstick!

You should see me now—I look awful.

Financially yes ... I do keep up with hygiëne as normal. Despite everything going on in my head i still try to look "ok" when in daily life/work.

I never cared about my body image and I will never do, but I like how I look. I'm probably the only person in this planet...

I care about my hygiene. I find taking showers quite relaxing and helps me with anxiety. I brush my teeth every day but just because I hate how my mouth tastes in the morning.

I take showers every day in hotter days, and every two days on winter/cold days (if I am not leaving home). I brush my teeth twice a day and all that stuff. Hygiene is important to me.

I don't wear make up, though and since my hair is wavy I see no reason to bother brushing it (it looks alright by default; not amazingly nor super feminine, but who cares). I have my mom trim my eyebrows every month, too, because they are too thick naturally.

My wardrobe is super boring and basic, too. Mostly black jeans and long-sleeved blouses. I don't feel too comfortable with short sleeves or tops, I don't like non-black/brown clothing and super feminine clothing (dresses, skirts) look terrible on this body of mine.

I look like a hobbo compared to most women.

It's not that I don't wash, I take a shower everyday but I don't find myself doing it for the purpose of cleaning anymore. I use it as a distraction from my life, I usually just stand there for up to 40-50 minutes letting the water hit me, it's only when someone shouts on me to get out I realise I haven't even started washing my hair or anything and I need to quickly do that before I get out.

Yeah, I look pretty rough at this point. I don't really shave anymore and wear the same clothes day after day. I get in the shower but rarely use soap. I used to take pride in my appearance. Not so much these days.

For the most part, yes. I have an eating disorder and still exercise daily, that's about it. Sometimes I don't even do that.

Half the time I can't eat, I get major anxiety if I don't have alcohol daily and I feel like I'm getting beer gut, I have arthritis in my spine but I lay in bed all day-this causes sciatica, but I just don't feel like I can get up due to lack of energy, or I'm afraid I'm going to kill myself and I want my suicide to be planned
. I can't work, I don't have friends, I can't really socialize, I have trouble getting out of bed, hardly shower, and don't bother with keeping up the house unless someone is coming over.

I used to be really into makeup and skincare but now my skin is dry and gross from not bothering to remove the small amount of makeup I do wear or passing out before I can get to it.

I've let myself go, to a point.... Since I pull a flat bed trailer, and have to pull those heavy ass tarps off in the hot weather, it doesn't take me long to see how bad I smell. Then its off to the shower, to hell with everything else.

Omg shattered dreams lol! I'm sorry to laugh but dang that's some serious shit. I've never gotten to that point except once I had a breakdown and couldn't get out of bed hardly and lost appetite, dropped 20lbs in a month. Didn't even realize what was happening to me until I moved and snapped out of it probably because Vegas had much more sunshine and maybe the change of atmosphere too.

It is a struggle to get myself moving every day and getting cleaned up is the hardest thing to do every morning. I don't know why because in reality it's not all that difficult yet I still have to practically force myself to brush teeth, shower, shave, makeup if I have to see someone for work. I always feel so much more ready to face the day if I would just do it right away. I don't really shop for new clothes anymore but need to. I often feel like I look poor and bordering on homeless because my stuff screams poverty lol! Hygiene is the only thing I haven't let go on but basically everything else I have. I do cut my own hair and trim it when I feel up to it. I despise coloring it but I feel like I have to for now.

Maybe not let myself go but I've decided I'm going to end it at 65-70 so I guess I won't have much to retire on just looking for a plan

I never really exercised, I don't brush my teeth at night then my bottom teeth start to irritate
