Just going through the routine of my day - getting up, going to work, working - takes all my energy. Everything drains me and sleep is not refreshing. Then getting up again...
I constantly have to go for the lowest limit I can get away with (and sometimes temporarily lower). This includes personal hygiene.
Not a life, existing drearily at best.
I attempted a daily routine so I can get back to working daily, and I was mentally broken from the experience by day 3. No energy

Maybe not let myself go but I've decided I'm going to end it at 65-70 so I guess I won't have much to retire on just looking for a plan

I never really exercised, I don't brush my teeth at night then my bottom teeth start to irritate

Kinda hard to make a decision this far in advance, how old are you? Just start smoking, eating excess sugar and you won't need any retirement savings!!

My teeth irritate too. It's misery. There was a guy who had a rare disorder where his teeth were in constant agony that it led him to ctb.

I thought I was the only one since everywhere I look (except for the homeless) I see everyone looking fairly clean. I've been embarrassed.

Oh I hate teeth, I wish they would have yanked them all wen I was like 19 or as young as possible and gave me implants lol! So I would still have to care for them but the agony of having fucking teeth sometimes. And mine are crooked too ugh! It's embarrassing to not have pretty teeth or mostly straight and good bite.

Omg shattered dreams lol! I'm sorry to laugh but dang that's some serious shit. I've never gotten to that point except once I had a breakdown and couldn't get out of bed hardly and lost appetite, dropped 20lbs in a month. Didn't even realize what was happening to me until I moved and snapped out of it probably because Vegas had much more sunshine and maybe the change of atmosphere too.

I personally am disgusted with the way I look, so I really do not care if I am dirty. I got too dirty though where even I could not handle it. The once a week shower with daily deodorant is doing ok.

How near though? I've been showering and brushing every several days, doing dishes when I have none left for the past 10 yrs

I cannot answer how near, because I do not know. What I do know is it is one of the major final signs. I know I will not be here for too much longer, less than 2 years for sure unless something major changes.

Edit: I did a little research on this since I am bored as usual. Really poor hygiene is a symptom of advanced major depressive disorder. Not a surprise to me since I have been diagnosed with it by 3 different psychologists. Major depressive disorder results in suicide in many cases, again not a surprise.

I have, but in a different way. Rather than physically, my habits and engagements with the world have begun to dwindle. I have dropped out of some online communities; have not held my friends as close (I am off-putting, so I have to work to keep people around); canceled various subscriptions; and I only seem to buy movies, books, and music as gifts now.

Everything is being done slowly. I do not want anyone in my life to have a hint of what is going on. Clean, normal clothing which is regularly washed, and so forth. Birthdays and anniversaries are observed. Holidays recognized and parties attended.

As a saboteur in my own life, I must be above suspicion.

Exactly the same here. I feel dirty all the time and I'm disgusted by myself to be honest. I used to be a very clean person as well but I pretty much dissociated with my whole existence. Just rotting away in my bed now until I'm gonna leave this world.

When we give up on ourselves i believe all hope has been drained out of us and there is only one way forward for me personally.
