Have you ever considered just straight up stabbing yourself in the heart..?
As far as I know, even a tiny puncture to the heart is basically a guaranteed death, right?
Sure, it will be painful for a short amount of time but considering that most other available methods are somewhat unreliable and aren't always successful, honestly starting to think this one might not be that bad of a method lol

Yeah, but does a part of you wish you were that hardcore? I mean, it's not ideal, or even that doable, but throwing away what I could've od'd on leads me to believe my survival instinct just wants me to fucking suffer.
But, same, everytime I think let's hear this out, I'm out of ideas, I'm like nevermind that sounds beyond awful.

not really, but what i did consider is getting a skydiving lisence, going for a solo jump but never pulling the rig. With enough attitude should do the work, even if you magically survive the water will take care of the rest. Thoughts?

I mean.. I guess that would work but wouldn't jumping off a building be more convenient?

I wish I had the courage to do it, but it's just too much. Not just the pain, you are fighting your primal instinct. The moment you feel a knife sinking on your body you are going to freak out. I would rather get stabbed 10 times by someone else than stab myself once.

I read a post here about some guy who quit his job and spent a couple months meditating and visualizing his death stabbing himself. He did it but couldn't lose enough blood even when he waited several hours. Apparently, he didn't stab enough times and just gave up and called for help. Whether or not this story is true, it makds you think. Some people HAVE done it.

I wish I could because everyone got knives and saws at home. My dream is to just get my heart to stop. This would be the painless cleanest death... I still await that day.

This and slitting your throat get asked about here frequently. The answer is that there is a tremendous amount of SI and most people will not be able to overcome it. Causing purposeful mortal harm to yourself with a knife is very difficult to do.

Another factor is accuracy. Hitting your heart is easier than hitting an artery in your neck, but you still do not want to miss. It takes careful study of anatomy, knowing your own individual anatomy, and making sure you have the correct angle and a steady hand to pull it off. Again, difficult for some to do.

Cutting/stabbing accounts for only about 4% of successful suicides. It is easy in theory but very difficult to pull off.

Getting the heart to automatically stop without the pain of a heart attack though, how?

I know someone who tried stabbing herself after her son killed himself with od. She lived. I'm not sure why she didn't just take the drugs she gave her son... seems like she stabbed herself for attention more than anything. I think she just wanted to live in the hospital to be taken care of without her son to wait on her hand and foot.
Hours withour bleeding enough huh? I'm not sure if I believe that story or not either.
I almost bled out enough naturally from a GI bleed. Spent some time in the hospital.

If you have zero SI then you can pretty much die using any method.

I saw a guy stab himself multiple times like it's a walk in the park, taking his time picking which next spot in his body to stab. I saw another carve his neck. I did also see a guy stab his heart.

It really depends on the person and their level of SI.

Most of us here have a high SI level, something we can thank natural selection for ig.

Yeah deffo considered it but i think it is impossible due to anatomical and psychological blockers. Unless you are in a state of psychosis of course.

Yes. Thought about it during my darkest days. I knew I can do it, but I also knew there are other options. I used to browse online to find a speargun for fishing and do it that way. I was nuts. Won't do it now that I'm wiser. It's not talked about much for the same reasons you mentioned. IMO, it's a no no method to attempt.

Stabbing yourself anywhere has always been a discouraged method here. You will most likely fail.

Same, I'm probably gonna have to go out this way. Yeah it should work fast as long as you don't hesitate and strike the left ventricle. I've done A LOT or research on this method, and especially my own anatomy. I know it sounds absolutely insane to most people, but I feel like people don't understand how desperate I am. I'm genuinely tired, I am ready to go.

No one just lands on something so horrific over night after all. I have tried again and again with partial hanging, I've stood at the edge of cliffs, I even considered suspension hanging in the woods. I just don't know if I have a good hanging body due to how my anatomy is. I'd rather bleed than slowly asphyxiate.

None of these other methods seem promising enough for me, and my number one concern is making sure I do not survive. At this point I'm ready to take agony to get out of this life, I can't take it anymore. And I don't know what else to do.

And If you ask for more specific partial hanging help questions that aren't in the guides, nobody responds. We can't all have nice deaths, for many of us we have to either die painfully or keep enduring life.
