Have you ever bought SN off the shelf in Scandinavia?

I'm not talking about ordering SN via internet. I'm talking about you actually going to a store and buying SN in person? And have you done it in Scandinavia?

I'm Scandinavian. I did some quick research and it seems that it's illegal to sell sodium nitrite (natriumnitrit/t/) to private persons in Sweden and Norway. I don't know about Denmark. This is not because it has been used in suicides, but simply because it's poisonous and explosive. It has after all been used in bombs, most notably the ones Behring Breivik crafted.

Is it explosive? Sure about that? Didn't Breivik use sodium nitrate? Please distinquish between sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite

Ok. But if you can use SN as an ingredient for making explosives than I guess it's very hard to procure?

Again, it seems that it's illegal to sell SN to private persons. Since I'm not going to use this method myself I won't spend time exploring judicial documents.
