Why do you ask this question? Most art is about execution. My avatar is a about suicide. It shows Ixtab the indigenous Maya goddess of suicide by hanging. Playing the role of a psychopomp, she would accompany such suicides to heaven.

Searching for "Hanging Judas" definitely brings up some interesting images.

Found two additional Pictures:
This picture shows St. Jerome, the patron saint of those to be hanged. The delinquentes don´t pray for their life but for a quick death. Obviously, St. Jerome had no problem to fullfill all of these prayers in terms of quick unconsciousness.
This woodcut is about suicide. The little devils suggest suicidal ideation and once she hangs they take her soul.Similar threads
