Does anyone of you watch gore videos on the internet? These kind of videos allegedly helped people prevent suicidal thoughts because they feared it after watching them.. What do you think about that?

I always hate myself for looking after these kind of videos because I can hardly sleep and get nightmares... but curiosity wins I guess...

I used to watch such videos all the time but the sub reddit with such videos was banned. :( There is a website with such videos as well but I forgot it's name.

I used to watch really gory vids all the time. I have no idea why other than it made me feel less alone in my suffering. Am I allowed to say the name of the website I watched them on?

Sure, why not? It's not illegal. The sub was banned from reddit simply because too many people were getting triggered. I used to watch these videos to desensitize myself because I believe, up to a certain point, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. And it's also a great way to learn how not to commit suicide...

I just don't want to get myself banned for anything. I've been on here lurking for a while, trying to get a sense of things before diving in. I'm really really ready to ctb and need help. The website was BestGore but I noticed another member posted that as well as some other ones to watch.

Yeah, I do watch those videos and pictures. It's kind of a way to desensitize myself to the horrors of this world. Also, you can see what suicide methods have severe repercussions if not done correctly.

Exactly. And it helps make you fearless. And that is good because fear is the mind killer.

The people who run this site are very merciful if you break the rules once. I said something really nasty to someone else for no good reason once and I was forgiven.

I just went to BestGore and the videos are kind of tame...

I watch it sometimes. I'm not really scared of it or anything. I watch suicide by hanging the most to gain more insight into the method of my choice.

What is presented on the pages of Gore and Kaotic
it really shows what people are capable of,
it is terrifying that it is dormant in each of us.
The situation and external factors condition ours
behavior.

I have watched a couple, but I don't want to anymore it made me feel wierd, and scared to die. Also i felt bad for the poor people, with people swarming around them filming their final moment and chucking it on the internet. And people actually laughing and making fun of them.

There is a site called bestgore I sometimes watch it just to see what it's like when doing full suspension or what it looks like after you shoot yourself.

Nope. Never have , never will. Just this thread sent a shiver down my spine. I haven't desensitized myself and that's a good thing.

I even forgot that gore sites exist. Once on TheYnc I saw a woman, literally with no face so you can see lavrae all over her rotting insides. The trick, as you may have guessed already, is that she was still alive. Maybe I should restore this therapeutic practice...

Same person who thought kids should kill themselves. Seems I was right about you. You don't want to die you want other people to die and that's what this is really about. How would that make anyone feel better who really gives a damn about anyone else? You disgust me

I watched many suicides, yes. Especially on r/watchpeopledie. But to be honest, gore never shocked me.

Funny you mention porn. "It's just a fantasy" doesn't really wash now. This is real and it makes no difference. Whatever enough people do becomes the norm.

Of course death is a normal part of life, yes even brutal deaths. I mean accidents dont happen that rarely.

I think the person meant it is not normal to watch gore videos although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is either too young or can't handle watching that sort of content.

Are most humans really that easily traumatized?

The title Bestgore tells you all you need to know. It's entertainment for psychopaths not something anyone who really cares about others would want to see. So what are you really here for? It's not the "problems with the world" since you're only contributing

I have morbid curiosity mind you that doesn't excuse the fact that I have watched such content but I wouldn't say I'm a psychopath it does trigger a disgust originally but when you watch enough of it becomes a norm maybe not a socially acceptable norm and I wouldn't say I am part of the problem. This site to me is a way of relieving symptoms of depression or simply a way to get my mind of off things.

When my grandpa died a few months ago i felt nothing at all, no sadness, no shock. No relief, just nothing.
