Any suggestions on getting the nerve to shoot yourself

I've come very close a few times, but it's just so hard to overcome SI in the final moment. I have a little voice in my head that goes, "Once you kill yourself it's back to empty nonexistence for the rest of eternity, so would it really be that bad to live for another week? It's not a big deal, just do whatever you feel like for now and then you'll kill yourself anyway, just a little bit later." It's kept me alive for the past 1.5 years, which I have very mixed feelings about, because obviously I would prefer to be dead already, it's just hard to pull the trigger, literally and figuratively.

This is def a question that has endless nuance in its answer. We are all so different but we all share SI (and other things too obv) but biologically this is a hurdle we are all faced with. I think having discourse around it is valuable. I def see what you're saying. @zengiraffe ; that makes a lot of sense to me, mentally. It's gonna be an intense moment no matter what. But that's all it is, a moment. Milliseconds, assuming your aim is true. This fact in itself hopefully brings some kind of help. Esp if it's a shotgun. PMs open<3 if you wanna chat.
