Get drunk before hanging?

Wondering whether i should get drunk before hanging? Will it reduce my SI?

It has been done many times I'm certain of. Like the film A star is born for example. It is up to you if you wish to get drunk.

I'm sure it will cut down on it. But I can also see interfering with it. SI is a hard thing to get over. I'd just be worried that booze would interfere with an attempt to abort if it came down to it. Are you doing full suspension or patial?

heroin and alcohol are the 2 drugs I know of that help.

My plan is just to go into like I am testing it out. I'm going to get into position and then allow my nerves to calm down and then repeat to myself saying it will be ok and I can do this. Kinda be like my own cheerleader reminding myself that my suffering will be over and whatever is after this , I will never know. It's either I overcome this SI and do it or keep trying to live this lonely, sad life of just existing.

Alcohol didn't personally help me during my previous attempt a few years ago... I drank excessively to potentiate the drugs I was taking and ended up blacking out for a long time. My blackout drunk self did not share my suicidal ideation. Of course, everyone is different. I would recommend just trying to figure out what the "right" amount of alcohol for you is.
