Method gassing myself with chloroform

i got a bottle of sleep meds, i have the stuff to make legit chloroform, my closet is a very tiny space, and i may set up a way to hang myself too just incase

from what i read chloroform itself is deadly, but i still need to be 100%

hi! I got my bachelors in chemistry, and worked in a synthetic lab for a couple years. one time, i was using chloroform in a reaction as a substrate for its electron withdrawing effect. anyway i breathed a bunch in one time and passed out.

1) it smells awful, and by that I mean the scent is more a full-body experience rather than a simple aroma i guess? Its so overpowering, it will make you jump back
2) I'm worried you'll pass out/lose consciousness, and hurt yourself badly in that way :( if you were to pass out and stop smelling the chemical, you could live and suffer from brain damage or bodily harm from losing consciousness; i'm sorry but i dont think this is a good idea

hi. oh okay, what if i did it to where i hang in the process? like ill doze off and die in my sleep

i was planning on covering all cracks and leavinf a note to wear a mask

If you were to hang while also inhaling chloroform, the shock of the smell of it could help with SI, and it could knock you out, keeping you from feeling any pain. I like this method

There was a very disturbing rape case in Japan where two women were presumably accidentally killed under chloroform during sexual assaults. Be warned- it's very disturbing. The woman who was murdered that led to a conviction for other crimes was Lucie Blackman. So- it must be possible. I wouldn't like to guess how reliable or painless it is though.

oh my god that's horrible.

im not sure on reliability i do know though it's relatively painless, may be some burning feeling but shouldnt be worse than that

i like the fan idea for making the gas spread - but wouldn't that also decrease the concentration of gas around you for a time as the room fills with gas? it makes me worry that it will take longer for you to lose consciousness maybe :(

thats kinda what im worried about.. ill have to check and see, my closet is small as hell so im hoping shouldnt take too long to fill up

Is there a way to purchase Chloroform or can it only be made by yourself? I was reading an article about chloroform and I am.curious if this can be bought?

Pretty sure I read somewhere that with chloroform, it has to be continuously administered to keep working. It's not a "one and done" kind of thing. That would be difficult to accomplish once you pass out, unless you came up with some type of contraption to continuously administer it.

If it is done with a plastic bag over the head and the chloroform is on a cloth, once unconscious, I think you would stay that way. The article made it sound like they just used a cloth and the bag.

One of my suicide attempts was putting a plastic bag over my head and mixing two things in a cup to make chloroform. I obviously did not die because my setup was horrendous. I did not tie the plastic bag around my head or try to avoid breathing oxygen, as I just put my face in the cup. If anyone were to do this, I hope they are smarter than I am. One big fear I never confirmed but feel could have happened was that I gave myself brain damage, which IDK.
