The exit bag is more complex to prepare, I'm a bit afraid to fail it and I was just wondering if the mask could be an alternative (but the rubber band might not be secure). By the way I can't even get helium on Amazon (Europe) because some comments say the tank is not full, so here I am.

The exit bag isn't too difficult; there is a video on how to make one on YouTube. Also, in a pinch you can just use the bag and a sweat band (per Derek Humphrey). It's not supposed to be too tight around the base of your neck, co2 needs to escape.
Helium no longer recommended because of impurity; must use nitrogen

That sounds like the recommended construction for an exit bag, so yes, it will work.
The use of a mask, instead of a bag, is not recommended. As much more reliable as it may seem, by looking at it, using a mask is much more likely to result in failure.
