I've got several chronic illnesses. I've been fighting my entire life against the US health insurance system. Even though I've always paid my premiums. I've always had a job. They still find ways to deny (or making the process so laborious that you just want to give up) the services or medications you need.

I've been doing this is I was 14 years old. It is so exhausting. My body has been falling a part for the past 6 months because they won't approve the medication I need. Will it kill me? No, but my hair is falling out, my fingernails are falling off, my body is covered in scales and I'm becoming arthritic. I've had to stop going to work and will be losing my job soon. And when that happens I won't have insurance. The medication I need is $15k per injection. I'm so fucking done with this whole fucking country. And it's not the only chronic illnesses I have either, it's just the most expensive one.

Fuck the world and everything in it. I'm done. I just wish I could somehow make it public knowledge that I killed myself because of the American healthcare system.

I think I'm going to buy a gun this weekend. I just need to make sure the caliber is big enough.

You might consider medical tourism.
What kind of injection that cost 15k?

I have severe psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis. The only medications that work are called biologics. Each dose can range from $5k to $15k depending on the brand. And you can't get them unless you have insurance or qualify for Medicaid. I don't know how poor people survive in this country with chronic illnesses

im so sorry. theres only so little you can do when it comes to this shitty country. i know other countries are doing much worse but you'd expect the US to be more efficient in helping people such as yourself & others. its unfair. i wish you well :(((

Thank you for saying that. The US healthcare system has been fucking me my entire life. And I'm now 34. I'm so done with all of it. Like I said in my post, even though I e had a job and paid my premiums, they still find a way to deny me.

I wish I could migrate to Canada or Scandinavia or Denmark. Texas sucks.

US Healthcare is a nightmare for sure. A poor person would qualify for medicaid and it probably would be approved. The middle-class that pay high premiums for their insurance are the ones that get fucked. Can your Doctor try to get this denial appealed? Or does the drug offer a low cost copay option? Some do if their is no generic equivalent.

You're right. There's somehow a gap in the system. People that work hard are too poor to afford insurance but too rich to get assistance.

This is why it needs to be nationalized, if you ask me. Like Canada, UK, and all the other western countries. And if you want to buy supplemental private insurance, by all means do it. I don't get how we're the wealthiest country, but can't provide for our people. All they want to do is cut taxes for the rich and squeeze the rest of the people for everything they have

(Angry react was towards the system, not your post)

Just a suggestion, of course it's not going to be comparable to the potency and efficacy of pharma-drugs, but you could try a mixture of tumeric gummies and black seed oil to see if it has any impact on your symptoms. Smallest vial of black seed oil (Amazing Herbs brand) is like $8 bucks. They are anti-inflammatory.
