I never hear about people talking about hanging from the garage torsion spring bar (the bar right above a garage door). It seems strong and a good height … am I missing something? I wanted to check before i try to test it in case that's a really bad idea… Thanks!

it's a spring, it can work however it's more likely to fail, leaving you in pain and injury.
