Venting Forgot my AirPods so I’m subjected to hearing fellow college students talk.

I remember when I used to be excited for the future. I'm just reminded of the fact that I'll never be able to feel that way.

I know they are all just deluded with idealism, but honestly? I miss being deluded too. I would probably feel different if CTB was more possible. But right now it's not.

It's hard to dissociate with people like that around.

Each person has their own life with lots going on, different emotions, thoughts, goals and behaviours.

Idealism is an unrealistic belief. Now, I haven't heard their conversation; I'm just giving my contribution to your post, but being in university and talking to like-minded people about academics and careers doesn't sound like idealism.
