Fixed date or no?

I have my chosen date in mind, and although it's not very far away, it feels like an age between now and then. I'm sure I'll manage to get to that day, but if I had the chance to I would absolutely do it sooner.

For those of you who have a fixed date, do you feel the same? Does it keep you relaxed, or do you find yourself looking at the calendar on loop?
And for those of you who don't have a specific date, what are your reasons?

I don't have a fixed date as for me to have a chance of being able to successful killing myself I need a strong impulsive emotional urge to get through SI and deal with my low pain tolerance. If I have a fixed date I might not have that urge on that day and I don't really care when I die so best for me to not have a fixed date but just do it when they is an opportunity and whenever I feel like it.

Yeah, I can definitely understand that. Unfortunately with my method I feel the need to be in a hotel room, so having the date fixed is unavoidable
