Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think I am set on the firearm route, seems straight forward and I can do it in the comfort of my car.

I am looking for suggestions on specific makes and models as I am not too familiar, same with the ammunition. I weigh 115, so ideally something I can handle due to the recoil. Effectiveness of the firearm will always be the priority though.

As I am planning to carry it out in my car, I would have to transport it in my trunk as I would not have a CCW. I am planning to drive to a national forest and park in one of the turn outs. I'm guessing my car will be as good as totaled due to the mess, I have to look into who would carry on the financial responsibility.

Any tips on how to keep it clean for first responders?

Also, I believe I would need to take a safety class prior to purchasing. Any tips for that is also appreciated. Not looking forward to the process of ownership for a firearm. Thanks all!

I don't think there is anyway to make CTB by firearm clean. It's a messy death.

I'm in a similar situation. The megathread was helping me quite a bit and i'm planning to head out to a gun show before I decide on anything solely because I know absolutely nothing about 'em. I'm not a shotgun person though, so a handgun has basically been my go-to method since I was young.

I didn't actually think about how fucked up my car would be post-death. I suppose it doesn't mean all that much to me, but it'll be pretty damn garish given the seats are light and fabric-y. The material of the interior is also something to consider. I don't think putting down anything like plastic bags or some kinda liner would help, though (since I'd been thinking about that)-- I assume not a lot of people wanna drive a car that someone died in.
