Venting Fears of death

I've been planning to ctb for a while, but my main issue with it is the fact that I am terrified of nothingness. I'm not a religious person, and the thought of never having any senses ever again scares me. I can't fathom what nothingness is like and I don't want it to be nothing. I really hope that when I do ctb, there will be something there for me. Could someone possibly help me with this fear? Like, just, I don't know, talk me through what you think happens after. I hate being this afraid all the time.

Being scared of death is normal, tho I wouldn't be scared of nothingness
If we are taking away religious beliefs such as hell and heaven (I doubt heaven and hell exists tho it's something I'm scared of despite being atheist) i think the idea of being in the same state i was before being born sounds kinda calming, I like the thought of nothingness
May I ask what makes you scared of that? Do you think it was scary before you were born?

It scares me because I can't fathom it. I'm so used to feeling, hearing, seeing, smelling, and doing things, that I can't imagine not having any of that at all.

The thing is, I am sure, but I'm still scared. It's like getting a shot at the doctor, I know I need it, but it's still scary either way.
