“Favorite” celebrity suicide?

My vote goes to Scott Hutchison, the lead singer of the band frightened rabbit. He wrote a song called "floating in the forth" in 2008 about committing suicide by jumping off the forth road bridge in Scotland. In 2018 he killed himself by jumping off the forth road bridge.

I'd have to say Leslie Cheung. Gay icon, lead actor in my favourite film of all time (Farewell My Concubine). He was pretty influential in my choice to start my PhD research in representations of LGBT identity in Chinese cinema. It's a shame I'll never get to complete my research, at one point it was such a huge passion project of mine. Hopefully someone else will be able to pick up where I left off!
