If I've had food around 5-6am. Then had I had nothing but cigarettes and water. Then slept around 2pm and woke up at 10pm. Am I good to take the Stat dose of SN now?

If you do the 8 hr. you should be fine. I have mine ready just been going back and forth lately.

Why fasting is needed though?

I think it's kind of the same concept as anti-inflammatory drugs.
They say to take them after eating because your stomach is full, hence the risk of getting stomach ache and other complications is reduced, because there's food and liquids that all change the "chemistry" in your stomach, slowing the absorption of the pill down.

When assuming SN, you want it to be absorbed as fast as possible, so if you fast you ensure that your stomach is empty, hence a faster absorption.

I know. You have plenty of fasting. The 8 hr. protocall only calls for meds. at the end then the SN. So you are good for that protocol if you wish.

2 hours before SN. You can take the Meto with a little water.
