I'm very happy that I closed my account there in 2013 this also saved me from the recent Facebook data bridge, where some personal data got leaked.

I don't understand why people think suicide is worse than suffering. People who say life is precious are just ignorant. Human lives are pointless and we only exist just to die anyway. Unfortunately society places too much value on long lives rather than quality ones.

People truly believe that if they keep a suicidal person in their thoughts and/or pray for them that their ailment would magically go away. And it's amazing how many of these people exist in the world. Bunch of morons and yes-men/women who believe everything that is said via Youtube or social media and the Bible that they are given the tool to aimlessly use on people suffering from mental illness. It's all a sham.

Yes this is a good point Symbiote. Given how prayer supposedly draws power from a higher being, the same being that allows organisms to suffer every day, then somehow I doubt that prayer will work. If an omnipotent entity refuses to assist in matters directly then why does anyone think that this entity will intervene if you ask them kindly?

On a slightly different but still relevant note: everyone is allowed to have their own spiritual or religious beliefs if they choose, and this is okay, but it is wrong to then try and use those beliefs to dictate societal policies that could both directly, and physically, affect other individuals - such as with the issue of assisted suicide.

People who say "you always have to appreciate the gift of life" are like people who want to force others to drink a drink on a party even if some got an extremely bitter one. It is either a selfish egocentric perspective because it is not the same to them or dumb compulsivness to force people to go on with a life that they really don't want.

I've noticed if you don't share their particular political views that they limit your posts so nobody sees them on their feed. They gave to go to your actual profile to see them. We are caught up in medical ethics concerning terminal illness. My mother died horrendously with cancer. I.think humanity needs an open and honest conversation about death and dying. My cat was ill too but she was old and did not suffer at the vets clinic.
